Your advocate for a better La Salle County

Alexandria (Ali) Braboy of La Salle is running for office to be an advocate for women, the working class, families, young people, the elderly and those who are struggling to make ends meet in La Salle County.

Her goal is to create a community where everyone can access quality healthcare, find affordable housing, and enjoy thriving economic prospects.

She believes changes are possible by leveraging grants and state and federal funding; making positive community development changes; increasing tourism efforts; and working together with municipalities and nonprofit agencies.

Braboy is an Illinois Valley native who is a proud graduate of Illinois Valley Community College and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

She worked as a journalist for the La Salle NewsTribune for three years covering the La Salle County Board and Putnam County Board.

Since then, she's worked with grant writing, economic development, community planning and workforce development.
